Tinted float glass is manufactured using the most advanced float process and technology, and the color is added during a clear float production process. Gray, bronze, green, and blue are the most common colors. As part of the process, small quantities of metal oxide are mixed with the other raw materials during the smelting period, which causes the color to appear on the glass. The type of metal oxide added determines the color of the glass.
